Send a quote
Create a quote, price the work, and send it to the customer.
Sending a quote is how you win the job. On Start, HomeYard can follow up automatically if the customer goes quiet.
Prerequisites
- A contact, or an enquiry you can quote from.
- Remaining Free quote slots this month, or Start.
What’s in a quote?
A quote is the work you’re pricing, a total, and a link your customer opens. Start from an enquiry, or from Quotes → New.
Steps
Open a new quote
Go to Quotes and choose New, or create one from the enquiry in Inbox.
Choose the customer
Pick the contact. If they came from the form, they’re already there.
Add the work
Describe the job and the price. Keep the first quote to the lines you have agreed.
Send it
Choose Send. The customer gets an email with a link to view and accept the quote.
Note
On Free you can send three quotes a month. A fourth is the moment to upgrade to Start.
