Cookie Policy

This cookie policy explains how HomeYard Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It is part of our commitment to transparency under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, improve performance, and (with your consent) allow analytics. Some cookies are essential for the site to work; others are optional.

2. How We Use Cookies

Essential Cookies

These are necessary for the website to function. We do not ask for consent for these because they are required for core features.

• Session and authentication: Keep you logged in and secure your session (e.g. when using your account or admin area)
• Security: Help prevent fraud and protect against abuse
• Cookie consent: Remember your choice to accept or reject non-essential cookies (stored locally in your browser)

Analytics Cookies (Optional)

We use analytics to understand how visitors use our site (e.g. which pages are viewed, how long people stay). This helps us improve our content and user experience. These cookies are only used when you click "Accept" on our cookie banner.

• Analytics provider: We use privacy-focused analytics (e.g. Umami) that do not use third-party advertising cookies
• Data: Typically anonymised or pseudonymised; we do not use analytics to identify you personally

Marketing Cookies (Optional)

With your consent, we use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and understand how visitors interact with our marketing site (for example, page views, contact form submissions, and sign-up completions). These cookies are only loaded when you click "Accept" on our cookie banner.

• Provider: Meta Platforms (Facebook Pixel)
• Purpose: Ad measurement and conversion tracking for HomeYard marketing campaigns
• More information: Meta Privacy Policy

3. Your Cookie Choices

When you first visit our site, you will see a cookie consent banner. You can:

• Accept: We will set analytics and marketing cookies and track usage with your consent
• Reject: We will not set analytics or marketing cookies; only essential cookies will be used

You can change your mind at any time by clearing your cookies or visiting in a private/incognito window, which will show the consent banner again. You can also adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies – see your browser's help section for details.

4. Third-Party Cookies

We aim to minimise third-party cookies. With your consent, we use Meta (Facebook) Pixel on our marketing site for ad measurement. We may also use services that set cookies for embedded content or analytics — those are described above.

5. Do Not Track

If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal, we respect that and will not enable non-essential analytics for you.

6. More Information

For details on how we collect and use your personal data, including cookies, see our Privacy Policy.
